I don't want to mess with RAID so I have two WD easystore drives, I save data to one from a desktop and then have a cron job that syncs it to the other periodically.

My drives are about full and I need to upgrade, will I be okay going from WD to these Seagate drives for $100 cheaper? Since I'll have redundancy. (Albeit in only one location, the data isn't important enough to store online.)

That's just raid with extra steps

A one line cron job is an easier step than learning/choosing/maintaining RAID software.

I know Windows 11 has two methods of mirroring but people seem to think they're slow or unreliable. I might mirror through disk management but storage spaces seems not great.

It was a joke. As long as you have reliable backups, I'm not saying anything. You're already 17 steps ahead of he avg users.
