What is PacketStormSecurity, and why is it MitM-ing the link to The Registrar?

PacketStorm is a classic security site and it's been around for years. Many years.

It's just a redirect, not a MITM. The link was probably copied from their News list, which does the redirect to the source site.

Example behavior on nearly all of these links: https://packetstormsecurity.com/news/

Remember how we use to use purple .com to check if the Internet connection was working? Packetstorm was always my second test because it had pictures so you could test both the ultra low size "does it work" with purple then try packet storm for a larger site.

After purple was bought by a mattress company, now I default to packet storm.

Cyber Security news and links to cyber security stories that could make you go hmmm. The content is exactly as it is consumed through RSS feeds and wont be edited (except for the occasional encoding errors).
