If you're collecting literally just gameplay data without people opting in that's already a breach of the user's privacy. Fingerprinting to connect them with ads is disgusting.

Well, it’s pretty shitty that they introduced it in the first place, but this is a great way to respond.

Tbh, I could see a case where a new marketing exec asked for it to be added and the dev team hated the idea so had a rollback plan ready to go in case things went south.

I am rather unimpressed that they were so comfortable over reaching on people’s personal data after I backed them in early development and have my name in the game.

I won’t be doing that again despite their quick back down.
