Only just taken it up, came from tennis so I'm a reasonable level (3.5ish).

I'm keen to play when I'm on holiday in Spain and wondered what people felt was the best way of approaching this.

Do I email the nearest club and ask them to set me up with some of their club members? Or maybe just focus on 1-2-1 coaching? (would that even work or would you need a pair to do coaching?).

Is there an app in Spain where you advertise to have a game? I think playtomic is meant to be but doesn't seem too active.

We're at a kids resort so I thought to ask the resort to try to organise but I don't think they'll want to be doing this just to entertain me lol

Any other ideas appreciated

Sorry for the late response, where I play, the places are organized in WhatsApp chats, It's not the best organization, but it kinda works, if you call a local place where you want to play, they may include you in the Whatsapp channel where games are organized.

It usually works like so: If i want to play a game in day X at Y hour, I'll ask for opening a game in day X at Y hour, if it is available, they will open a game in the channel stating the date, free seats and level, and other people copy paste the game opening message filling the open seats, when the game is full, the organization books the slot and we go play at the defined date/time.

No drama, must be alot of work hoarding all those vikings!

Youre right, we have this at my own club and while chaotic works well. As it happens, whole on holiday I put myself fwd for a handful of matches on playtomic and none of them came thro.

I should have asked to be added to the local padel club to my holiday resort WhatsApp chat but judging on dialogue I suspect they wouldn't have agreed to it.

Thanks for taking the time he time to reply
