I've played driller with all possible weapons and when going on a haz 5 dreadnought mission, I figured cryo was the best main weapon.

And it sucked. Real low damage output. I've tried to freeze it and then throw the axe, but it was not dealing much damage.

Is it just me, or should we be picking 2 engies and 2 gunners for dreadnoughts?

Engie, Gunner, Scout (with single-target focused loadouts) do tend to perform best in dreadnought missions. Driller plays more of a support role, but can do decent chip damage and make pathways to ensure cover for teammates. There are also tactical support strategies such as fully freezing dreadnoughts while weak points are up and having a teammate do a massive burst of damage.

You can build single-target damage builds as driller with overclocks and they will work decently well, with the caveat that the weapons used for the build will lose a lot of their normal utility.

You could use sludge pump and microwave gun with the weakspot OC to slow the dreadnought and increase your teams overall damage.

slowing dreads with the sludge pump is really effective for a full team!

The normal shot damage boost overclock for sludge pump is amazing. It was my least favorite weapon before I tried that one out. I've been on a break, so i forget how I handle elim with driller... I play all four classes so I think i just swap to scout/engi. Stacking scout on elim is hilarious.
