One thing does not imply the other is false. Top producer of green energy, top producer of dirty energy, also top producer of toxic battery by products on a scale of 1:200 for each KG of battery ready minerals.

They’re the top producer of dirty energy because they’re the top manufacturer in the world and they’re roughly tied with India for the largest population in the world. They’re the top producer of battery byproducts because they produce 80% of the world’s batteries.

Chinese don't look at green energy in the same way West does. It is about energy SECURITY. They don't have to IMPORT any gas or oil in order to produce it. The same goes with coal - they have it in abundance, and they will keep using it. It is the main source of their power grid.

Which honestly would be a really nice step up for the US... if we could stop pushing to STOP green energy we could work our way to a nice mixture.. which leaves the OPTION to phase out. but our current administration seems threatened by the option being there.

if only the US had common sense

That's the same like how the EU sees it. It's just wrapped in propaganda because it is easier to understand it that way. But everyone knows what is up.
