"America has the most freedoms" = Freedom to exploit people and get rich with little regulatory oversight

"Land of the free" = Free labor that is... companies pay people so little that most need more than 1 job, will rent forever, and won't have anything saved for retirement.

It's always been that way to. The "freedom" has always been really good propaganda. The founders of this country came up with a really good model to ensure the idea of freedom was based on the freedoms of those that owned property (and people).

There has never been a point in American history where the romanticized idea of freedom most Americans have ever even existed. Seriously, if anyone reading this disagrees, name a time period where America was "Great". I'll wait...

Every ounce of progress, hard-fought for, can be revoked if we allow it to be.

Every generation is a fight, and we have failed miserably multiple times in my lifetime to carry on the fight with the necessary strength or direction.

If it makes you feel better we live in a great time and generation. It just isn't in America or the west in general. Many countries once kept in poverty by western Imperialism have broken their chains and moved towards better self determination.

We (humans) are building a multi-polar world. If you're in the west and you support this liberation of the workers of the world, even at your own material cost, that is something to feel solidarity for.

It's easy to focus on the awful things happening today and feel like progress is not being made. The conflicts and tensions are so high BECAUSE people are fighting back.

The beast of Imperialism is badly wounded and is lashing out recklessly. It is fighting against its own contradictions that it cannot defeat and is now lashing out inwards towards its own population. In time it will destroy itself and they will be free from it as well. The beast will either be killed or bleed out slowly. But it's strength and oppression it puts on the world will end in time.

They're not doing it "because" of Gaza protestors; that's just one of their manufactured excuses. If that weren't an issue, they'd just go that much harder persecuting immigrants or trans people or "woke" or whatever.

Let me say it again another way, just to drive the point home because folks are still way too complacent about it:

It doesn't matter what any non-fascist does, no matter how innocuous. Every single one of us is a subversive person committing wrongthink and they will be coming after us, even if they have to invent complete blatant lies out of thin air because we have done literally nothing but grovel and supplicate ourselves to their control. Nothing will save any of us except solidarity and resistance.

You're right. But using the very much acceptable (by the population) form of bigotry against Muslims was always going to be the starting point.

It's really easy to start with the "terrorist" labeling and expand it to mean any group. Which is now in the form of "antifa". Another vague term like "terrorist" that they can slap onto anyone that they want so your grandma and my uncle will feel safe.

First they came for the Communists

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a Communist

Then they came for the Socialists

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a Socialist

Then they came for the trade unionists

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a trade unionist

Then they came for the Jews

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a Jew

Then they came for me

And there was no one left

To speak out for me

Let’s not get too excited about who’s killing who. Let’s worry about the Super Bowl halftime show.

Hey they started taking your freedom away just because your ass wasn't pasty white long before the Gaza thing.

Live streamed is kind of a stretch when Israel was openly targeting and killing journalists for attempting to show the world what is really going on.

All the Western and foreign journalists fled Palestine and Gaza when they realized that Israel would kill them. Then they killed the remaining Palestinian journalists that couldn't leave.
