Well, I guess I'm fucked.
Also Fucked is: me! Feel free to reach out anytime you want to vent. Assuming either of us remembers.
"Higher handgrip strength"? Does that mean my deathgrip is actually helping lower my chances of dementia?
I believe grip strength is a good proxy for measuring overall strength and fitness often used in research. Likely just being in good overall shape will help yes :)
Uh oh, kind of demoralizing to see orthostatic hypotension is king of the list. Such a regular problem for me.
Well, F. I get this all the time. I even get it sometimes when I'm just sitting and stretch my back, which is what I'll usually do before standing just to avoid getting it while standing up. Just one more reason I guess to avoid alcohol altogether, don't need to add to the problem. I had stopped because of higher cholesterol, but this kind of seals the deal.
I used to always have that when i stood up after a long church service growing up, cant really remember having it in a long time. Is there anyway to treat it?
Alcohol misuse and loneliness ‘increase risk of early-onset dementia’
at least I quit drinking
edit:
Depression
well, I'm on medication
High deprivation
what is that
Vitamin D deficiency
I take vitamins.
Social isolation
Does lemmy count?
These three factors represent a lowering of risk:
Moderate alcohol use
I quit drinking.
Formal education
I have that.
Higher handgrip strength
I guess I'll just take my chances with that one
I need to train my grip strength to combat my alcohol misuse.
