With Trump in the White House, Republican control of the Senate and likely the House, and a stacked Supreme Court, there's nothing to stop him from tearing down whatever he wants. There doesn't have to be a replacement plan. Insurance companies will applaud the end of ACA mandates, which will let them sell policies without minimum government requirements for coverage and they can go back to denying coverage for "pre-existing"conditions. It's going to screw over a lot of people.
I've wanted a motorcycle for years, and occasionally start looking. Then I consider just how badly people drive around here, and that I'd likely end up as road sausage. But, getting older and closer to kicking the bucket anyway, so maybe just go ahead and enjoy some riding?
If your faith lead you to vote for a man like Trump, who doesn't express a single Christian ideal in the manner he lives, then you are not really a Christian. Unfortunately too many people here in the US follow American Jesus instead. Lying? Cheating? Bigotry? That's just fine, so long as you have money. Wealth is a sign that American Jesus loves you more than all those awful poor people.
Also called Bitrex, that stuff does leave an awful taste. Gets used as a denaturant in ethanol to keep people from drinking it. Company I worked at long ago had a stock of it, and our lab had to requalify it for use every 2 years. As careful as we were keeping it contained, it had a way of spreading everywhere. For the next two days everyone who worked in the area would randomly get that awful taste I their mouth.
Our international partners began moderating the intelligence they would share while Trump was in office. They couldn't trust him to not blab about state secrets during dinner parties just to try to impress people with how smart and important he was.
I'm a quality chemist. I test the API's that process chemists make to be sure they're right. Yeah, reactions don't always proceed as intended. These guys do understand the risks, and are only trying to provide an option. Here in the US the insurance companies are perfectly willing to let us die because funding expensive treatment hurts their bottom line. Unless you're independently wealthy, a small scale reactor at home may become the only option a person has available. Definitely risky, but why not take the chance when corporate America has determined you're not valuable enough to save?
I wish the US had made the switch to metric back in the 70's. I remember having to learn it in grade school, and there seemed to be a push for it, but never went anywhere. I now work as a chemist where everything is done in metric, but then go back to US measures once I punch out for the day. Would be nice to have a single system instead.
Florida Man has a badge.
Right hand inswing. If you were standing outside to open the door, it would swing inward to the right.
Looks like she's already wearing one from the photo they used. Very brave and admirable for her to step up and continue forward.
Lorena Bobbitt, the renewed American hero for every young woman.
