A year ago or so when I wanted to check what Facebook had on me, so I requested my data. The document I got from them also included what apps I used at what times. I don't mean Facebook apps, I saw at what times I used apps such as Discord and countless other apps I have on my phone.
I am guessing Google has given Facebook special permissions to access more features and data on user devices without prompting too. An average app developer has to ask for each and every permission, but Facebook can afford to pay Google for some questionable deals regarding privacy.
