I honestly can’t believe they haven’t learned the consequences of doing nothing when the bare minimum would have saved so many people.

I am left to believe that trump’s bot campaign is back in full force because frankly, I cannot believe someone can be this willfully ignorant.

May he rot in hell, flayed and fearful.

The right will circle the wagons when one of them violates both rule and moral. The left demands justice regardless.

There is no both sides.

Nothing that exists, does so without first passing through the framework of nuance.

I will always appreciate the nuanced take on things. No matter the subject. So often people are so vapidly polarized on seemingly every topic under the sun, so it’s refreshing to see this. Thank you.

I’d love to see that slipped into a history book!

I block wastes of my time. Simple as.

I’ve no problem debating with people that have both the intelligence and the maturity to discuss a topic without resorting to manipulating my point into shit I’m not saying, or saying moronic things like “Genocide Joe.”

Basically, I’m just not about entertaining stupid attempts at manufacturing an argument. I don’t have the time for it, and those types love to waste time.

Yeah. I’m done with you…. mate.

You lied. Just have an ounce of shame and admit it. And for the record, I’m not asking you to continue. By all means. Stop. Disinformation isn’t something I believe needs to be allowed a platform, though I do believe it is everyone’s duty to call it out when it happens.

I asked you to prove this:

He only ran as a dem because he is in California and Republicans have no chance there

-and you cannot. Therefore what is happening is you are positioning an opinion as fact. This means it can easily be dismissed as irrelevant to the topic.

Agreed. It’s that whole “perfect being the opposite of good” ideology. Every election year, it’s always the same thing- some socio-economic or political event gets them in a rage and they aren’t even aware that by-and-large, it’s the conservatives that are in the shadows, laughing their asses off while fanning the flames.

The fracture their protest causes only helps the right. And their smug arrogance won’t ever lent them see it.

Yeah. I’m noticing that a lot lately. Especially here. I was recently asked what I felt the difference between Lemmy and Reddit is, and I said that from my opinion, Reddit is full of smart people that try to act stupid, and Lemmy is full of stupid people that try to act smart.

This isn’t to say that this applies to everyone, as of course- there’s nuance in everything, but it does seem to be a bit of a theme to both platforms.
