It may not be much, but this is the shrine where I keep my most precious childhood memories: my super Nintendo, game boy, dragon ball cards, art books, figurines... You name it. I wanted to share my passion with all of you 😄

Please, share your setups and achievements as well on other posts so that we can comment, I'd love to see them!

This means that it is not natively supported, is it?

I'm a big fan of gen 2 so I mostly played romhacks based on that. To me the GBC offers a better experience than GBA because of the chiptunes compared to sound samples. Some personal recommendations:

  • Pokémon Polished Crystal: it's pokémon crystal, but natures and abilities have been added, new movesets making lot of pokémon viable and interesting, and overall it's an enhanced experience from the original game. I fully recommend it
  • Pokémon Prism: another romhack of crystal, but it's a complete overhaul of the game where action doesn't happen on Johto and Kanto, but on completely new regions Naljo and Rijon. It's an incredible experience, and the soundtrack is top notch (the gym leader music is amazing)

Basically fightcade allows you to play online with those games :)

Do you play in fightcade or in some other way?

Right now if I write a comment on a community and receive a response I'm getting notified about it via push notification and even email if I set such option in my profile. However for certain subs I might be interested in getting notifications every time someone adds a new thread on it.

Is there any way as of now to achieve that?

What game is it and why do you think it's the best card game?

Tetris attack is nice. If you had a Gameboy color, try Pokémon puzzle challenge, you'll love it!

Try LinkedIn, that's where I got most of my jobs.

I never played Secret of Mana. I might give it a shot shortly!

Seconding this. Yu-Gi-Oh abridged is super fun.

DURO, MONSTA CARDO!

Never knew about such accessory. Back in the day playing with 4 people must had been a lifelong experience!

Then maybe I'll stick to the digital version. It just streamlines the experience and I can focus on what is important: meaningful strategic decisions :D

Well explained, I could feel right away the adrenaline rush of finding something unexpected and trying to come up with a story for it!

Thanks for sharing your experience!

When I was a kid I used to collect Dragon Ball cards printed by Panini. Decades later and scavenging my parent's basement I found the collections. Unfortunately even if I remember completing all the collections, some of the cards were in a bad shape or missing, so I decided to fetch the missing ones in a second hand market (like a grown-up kid fetching and bartering cards 😂 ) till I managed to rebuild the collection back to its former glory.

So now I can showcase the binder where I keep my entire collection with pride. Posting the images, though I don't know if I should have made a video instead. Gotta think about it.

What is a nice or interesting memory you keep with the SNES?

I played a lot of SNES back when I was a kid (I received my SNES when I was 4 years old as a Christmas present, now I'm on my 37s). But I had Super Battletank, a game where you play as a tank to get rid of enemies. The guns and bombs were so loud it scared the sh*t out of me and I fled from the room and cuddle in the sofa, shutting my ears.

Now I remember this with a laugh 😂.
