Damn, I released my last project yesterday and I needed some of those features so badly!

Great news, thanks for sharing! Gimp has been a long-time companion of mine for any kind of image editing. So happy to see it growing and evolving in such a good way.

A few weeks ago I have found a very nice jam on itch.io called Road Trip Game Jam 2025 which was really inspiring and chill. At the time there were already a lot of really good little video games. I decided to hop on and try to submit something physical instead and ~~many coffees later~~ my solo TTRPG Focus on the Road was born.

It's a chill game about driving across a big country, meeting interesting people and visiting some cool landmarks. You will take some pictures of your new friends and visited places using an instant camera and try to continue your trip before the gas tank is empty. As many solo RPGs it's not really a game you can win or lose, it is mostly a tool to narrate a cool story while listening to some old rock music. The main mechanic is interacting with any hitchhikers you might take with you, trying to find a good discussion topic, listening to the radio together, etc. It's absolutely non-violent, features no cigarettes, drugs or booze and has been designed to be as chill as I was when designing it. Oh, and it's free and features only creative common art. Hope you might enjoy it!

A few weeks ago I have found a very nice jam on itch.io called Road Trip Game Jam 2025 which was really inspiring and chill. At the time there were already a lot of really good little games and, as a racing / car games enthousiast, I decided to hop on and try to submit something nice. I am a full time developer but didn't want to bother with a video game project since I am an awful artist and didn't want to work in a team on my free time. So I went a physical game path and wrote a solo TTRPG Focus on the Road.

Edit: there's not many physical games on this community but I hope it still qualifies as a game. Feel free to close if I am not on the right place.

I'd might accept to send my ID with my photo, first and last name (data which they already have and might use to verify my identity) but with all the remaining info being anonymized / blurred. But I believe that Persona filter out blurred out images. And I have to admit, I am kinda afraid to send fake data. Sure, Persona is not a legal representative but a third party, sending them a fake ID isn't any different to send a fake ID to a buddy but still.

Thanks for your reply, there are many ideas that help me to think it through!

First of all: no, I agree that non-verified person should not be able to request an account deletion. However, I am in full possession of my id, password, 2FA, full access to both old and new e-mail boxes as well as to all devices that have ever been used to log into this account. I believe that this is enough to prove that I am the one holding the account.

I believe that I never used LI from any new VPN (I use either professional VPN or no VPN).

As per your last paragraph, I totally agree that it might "reveal" my sensitive data. My idea was the following: if I show myself ready enough and kinda literate about privacy (nothing fancy, just some well-known rights and regulations) I might get them to accept a video call or something similar to confirm my identity. If this case were to be brought to court after all, I believe that my ID data might remain within the jurisdiction of my country instead of be sent to a third party (Persona).

Good to know, thanks! I might try to log in every now and then. And indeed, no way I keep my account after that.

First things first, I've updated my LI account with a new e-mail and 2FA and now my account is "Temporarily restricted". LinkedIn require me to send them either my ID card (no way) or my legal information certified by a lawyer in my country (no way). The ID seems to be "verified" (they are nothing to compare against) by Persona, a third-party that is located in US.

I kindly asked by mail to delete my account (as outlined in Article 17 of the GDPR) using a webcall or a short video with me talkie-talking about how I would like to recover my account. "Kindly asked" whether they prefer me to bring the matter to the court (Article 77 of the GDPR). Gonna see what they reply.

Anybody who went through this? Any success? Any arguments that seemed to work on the support?

I've been offered a Back to the Future DeLorean set recently, my first set in 20+ years or so. Damn, I was missing my Lego childhood! Probably going to get back in and try some custom models.

Yeah, that's a bit strange. Not everyone starts their account by a big game. My current steam account is quite old and first games were the ones I could afford back then as a student: indie titles, freebies, maybe one big game at some point. My previous account was only for HL / CS.

Never played the first one but both of them look stupidly addictive. I feel like it is a chill version of Xonix-like games. Not quite the same but I can vaguely put them into the same genre basket.

Switched to Proton for e-mail, drive and calendar. Left Reddit for personal usage (I might still look into old reddit tech posts as an archive), deleted Facebook which hasn't been used for years. Never had a Xitter account but created a Bluesky one to try it out.

And most and foremost, ditched a lot of US products from my daily life. I was quite a huge Coke Zero consumer and it was probably the most difficult to get rid of.

I have a very similar situation: a cat with a severe kidney disability, meds 5 times a day with at least 2h between each. We've been using a whiteboard but I am currently setting a smarter solution. My WIP setup is a raspberry pi with a static IP on my local network and a FastAPI app. This way I can also do a household to-do lists (did anybody watered plants recently?) and add connection to local smart lights (effects if meds could not be given with 2h interval before our usual go-to-bed time), etc.

It would only work for us since it is a household only solution. Our cats do not travel anywhere and I do not currently need to check for these todos when not at home. It may be different for you. Good luck OP, hope you will find something that suits you.

Don't give them the ideas!

I am thinking more and more often about doing it. "professional e-mail about how bad the last dataset was".
