If people can lie and tell the truth, they can obviously be criticised for what they said, so your argument again don't make sense. We're also not choosing to believe what he said based on agenda, it's based on what people know of him and what he stands for.

That's because you can only think in black and white terms that you can't tell that it's not just 'leftist' that would be motivated to vote if the DNC had catered to more progressive policies, but a lot of people on the centre that had also been disillusioned by the political system. We've seen many times that progressive stances gets a lot of support from people of all political spectrum, yet the only thing the DNC can think to do is try to appeal to the right side of the spectrum that would still only vote for a Republican?
