I just started the second season, so trying to catch up. So far I'd say its decent, but I've been told it gets way better.

The fight where the Minotaur explodes is peak Danmachi but IIRC it takes a whole season for it. The number of really emotional moments per season does pick up though.

The Ishtar Familia arc is a bit skeevy imo but sets up some key lore and characters. Other than that the rest is pretty solid. Season 5 is real slow at the start, especially if you hate the way females behave in the series, but by s04+ it is worth it.
