Does the RiF app still work for anyone else so long as you're not logged in? (lemmy.world)

Hard to break old habits, I kept accidently opening the RiF app. And so long as I'm not logged in I can browse reddit. Is this the case for anyone else? And do we know why?

Trying out Liftoff too, it does seem nice. Now I have three installed.
