Does the braid cut down on the plasticy squeaks? I've got a pair of K271 mkII and K712 pro and while I love the sound signature and the light feel on the head, the plastic squeaks have me reaching for my senny's instead
I don't think so? But I've never had the problem you describe. Yes they do make a little bit of noise when putting them on, mostly from the headband being adjusted, but after that they're quiet.
That's the noise for sure, I seem to notice it every time I move my head. I've had the K271 mk II for like 15 years and they've lived in a pelican hard case any time they weren't on my head for the first 13 of those years and a cheaper hardshell case from amazon for the last 2 years or so. Its not like they've been abused at all.
Can't go wrong with the K240s for critical listening. Cool modifications!
Thanks :)
Fiio had some misses early on; the E10 leaps to mind. But damn, they really turned things around. It almost feels like Fiio has the audio Midas touch, and now we're stuck with decision paralysis on which features and nuance we want. 😆
You reference the price, both headphones and accessories, but don’t specifically state any of them.
The headphones cost me ~95 USD, the dac/amp (refurbished) was ~74 USD. Plus a negligible amount for the short cable.
