Not possible as far as I am aware. We cannot change the controller layout for game mode.
It's such a shame. I really hope they make it editable at some point!
I've been using mouse and keyboard in gaming mode on nobara Linux and I find the home, end, page up & down and the arrow keys as the most consistent way to navigate the game library. Mouse scroll is just so buggy and when the mouse "goes to sleep" as I call it I find it annoying.
I haven't tested this, but game mode I understand is basically equivalent to big picture mode. So perhaps going to the desktop and setting up your preferences for BPM could work?
Nice suggestion! I'll try this out, hopefully it works!
So unfortunately either I couldn't find the option or what I thought was the option didn't have any effect in game mode :/
Finally got around to tinkering and sorry, no luck here either. I thought BPM had it's own controller setting, but it seems like everything just maps to the desktop control scheme on the deck. Have to agree with the top comment I don't think this is currently possible
That really sucks, but I appreciate you looking!
Bummer :( I'll poke around tomorrow and follow up if I find somethin
