Kids will be kids! They do dumb stuff all the time like busting mailboxes, tagging grafitti, stealing road signs, and stealing a riot shield during an insurrection.

There is an in-group that the law protects, but does not bind. There is an out-group that the law binds, but does not protect.

FAQ

What does this mean?

The amount of beans on your comment and bean account has decreased by one bean.

Why did you do this?

There are several reasons I may deem a comment to be unworthy of positive or neutral beans. These include, but are not limited to:

• Rudeness towards other beanikans, • Spreading incorrect tomato sauce, • Sarcasm not correctly flagged with a /s.

Am I banned from the beans?

No - not yet. But you should refrain from making comments like this in the future. Otherwise I will be forced to issue an additional downbean, which may put your commenting and posting privileges in jeopardy.

I don't believe my comment deserved a downbean. Can you un-downbean it?

Sure, mistakes happen. But only in exceedingly rare circumstances will I undo a downbean. If you would like to issue an appeal, shoot me a private beannote explaining what I got wrong. I tend to respond to beannotes within several minutes. Do note, however, that over 99.9% of downbean appeals are rejected, and yours is likely no exception.

How can I prevent this from happening in the future?

Accept the downbean and move on. But learn from this mistake: your behavior will not be tolerated on beans. I will continue to issue downbeans until you improve your conduct. Remember: beans are a privilege, not a right.

Kentucky Wonder (mander.xyz)

First real harvest off a hoop trellis. These are tasty green beans that tolerate heat well. Grown on a welded wire 6" x 6" cattle panel bent into a hoop between two beds of our vegetable patch. These sell very fast at the local farmers market.

My flock of 11 ducks. Six are mature and usually give me six eggs a day. The other five are a few months old and not laying yet. Their eggs are sold at a farmers market. Ducks are fun to keep and IMHO better than chickens due to the ease of keeping and consistant laying.

Planted these in Winter 2020, finally seeing some buds.

We have just tossed them in a jar with some ginger in the past and it was delicious. Does anyone have a fun twist on carrots? We have a good harvest of them and want to experiment.

Hi, y'all! (mander.xyz)

I'm excited to learn more about growing from folks here. My main interest is market farming and astronomy. I'm in the totality path of the Apr 8, 2023 eclipse and have a solar filter ready for the telescope. Home darkness is Bortle 4, but getting worse. Expect posts about ducks, purple-hull peas, and farmers market economics.
