TL/DR: Boost power to the damaged engine

So I was flying in a fury today. In a fight one of my engines was damaged slightly (93% health left) and everytime I gave some forward thrust, the ship would turn slightly.

I figured I'd mess around with the engines to see if I could try to compensate for the damage.

Going into the Power MFD (middle mouse click to lock zoom so that it doesn't affect scrolling) then overpowering the damaged engine slightly made it so that I no longer turned everytime I gave it some forward thrust. It was a pretty big difference and made the ship flyable again.

Additionally, there's probably the option of underpowering all of the other engines in the case of a severely damaged engine, but I figure this tip is enough to help anyone that gets caught in a bind.

Added Combat Logging Timer

Along with 3.20, we have added a new Combat Logging mechanic to avoid as much of this issue as possible. With this updated mechanic, while a player is in combat and outside of a green zone, the player and their ship will remain in the PU for a short period after exiting the game fully or to the menu. This also comes with a warning while exiting to menu to make sure you are in a safe area before leaving as it will leave your ship and character vulnerable at the location they left the server.

We managed to squeeze in a giant QoL for the Mole pilots. I do not want to give away the surprise, please pay close attention to our patch watch for more details.

My guess is that the pilot will at least be able to view the mining HUD to get a better feel for distance from the rock and how close it is to breaking up.

Please explain how I've been had.

I paid $45 for a game, I got to enjoy hundreds of hours out of it, and they're continuing to improve it.

I was hesitant for a bit. I followed the development of the game for about a year before I decided to join in.

In my mind, as long as they are making actual progress on the game and the tech, then it's not a scam.

A scam would have walked away with the money by now, or they would be running with a skeleton crew and making slow progress.

But, in the end, the game is fun to play once you know what you need to do to avoid the worst bugs. That kind of gameplay isn't for everyone. If it's a "scam" then I certainly have enjoyed my money's worth of it.

Added:

  • PU - Inventory - Local inventory infinite loading after loadout change in VLM and relogging into the game
  • Prison Kiosk / Ore Sale - Game Code / Transaction - Transaction failure occurs when attempting to deposit Harvestables

Removed:

  • Multivehicle - PU - Ship / HUD - PING wave does not visually activate for players
  • PU - Stanton - Audio Feature - ASOP / Fleet Manager - Audio - Incorrectly states all hangars are currently in-use
  • PU - Stanton - Grim Hex - Locations - Medical - Medical Imprint fails to transfer to Grim HEX, causing players to respawn at their default location
  • PU - Stanton - Grim Hex - Locations - Ships called via ASOP don't spawn but are assigned a hangar
  • PU - Stanton - GrimHex - Hospital - Locations / Transit - Actor / Elevator - Actor takes damage in the hospital elevator after respawning in the hospital

Fixed:

  • Multivehicle - PU - Ship / HUD - PING wave does not visually activate for players
  • MISC Hull C - Stanton - Vehicle / Actor Tech - There is no oxygen/breathable atmosphere at the engineering end of the spindle corridor when it is extended

The devs released a minigame for us to enjoy.

It plays well on a phone/touchscreen device.

Beating all 3 levels will reward you with the "Predator" badge.

Edit: It looks like another badge is also possible, "Apex Predator". I'm guessing you need to get 3 stars in each level, and maybe the hard version of those levels as well.

This is already possible on a per-server basis. Beehaw already does this.

It would be interesting to make it a per-community feature though.

  • Paint rewards for specific ships when completing a specific tutorial category.

  • Different Armor + Sniper Rifle kit for each weekend. If all 4 are collected there is a 5th kit that you will be rewarded.

Rewards for 1-3 sessions completed:

  • Guides: In-game beanies and hats

  • Recruits: Gemini LH86 pistol, P4-AR Rifle, Multi-tool set (with a bunch of attachments)

Note: Guide sessions must be 30min at least and a verified Endorsement
