Just put ‘site:lemmy.world’ into Google to see what it has indexed on that instance for example. I don’t think Lemmy is optimised for search yet, but I saw some GitHub threads around the topic.

Why do you need to host youtube-dl?
How hard is it? Did you use the official guide? I looked into Mastodon and it was a bit too custom and annoying to spin up.
Was it r/cordcutters? So good not self hosting even dumb things especially when friends and family use it. I’d rather just fork out for the bill myself.
Similar Web has no idea of traffic over third party apps to start with. So it wouldn’t even notice a difference at July 1st.
