That’s awesome. Considering that Alaska is an afterthought on most maps of the U.S., this seems only fair.
Sort of? "It's a tiny section of our population" is a pretty legit reason to pay less attention, though.
I'm surprised Hawaii isn't a lot bigger. Seems like those two states would team up on maps.
I'm torn. Alaska is about 100 times the size of Hawaii, so this seems about right. But also I like the thought of enormous Hawaii besides very big Alaska.
It's about sending a message.
They made Hawaii about the same size as the other 48 combined though. I guess that's something.
On the one hand, Mauna Loa is misspelled and misplaced. On the other hand, the big island is now the bigger-than-Texas island, and I enjoy that.
Relative to the lower 48, Hawaii looks huge!
I'm fine with treating the lower 48 like this, but the Great Lakes did nothing to deserve their erasure!
The Chesapeake bay shakes its claws in disgust
On second look, realizing Texas got absolutely trashed by this map.
It's fairing a lot better than Michigan.
That's okay, it happens to lots of guys.
they should do that in real life too
Slightly more-readable:
Computer, enhance!
Awesome, I've been looking for a higher rez version of this for years
Hawaii being mas o menos the same size as the 48 is awesome.
They may have left out a thing or two.
