Christians don't exist "by nature". While it's accurate that a true Christian wouldn't be racist, they don't exist in meaningful enough numbers to lead the church away from the bigots who've overtaken it. Christians would never vote for a pathological liar and admitted sexual deviant, but look where we are. Your concept of Christianity is commendable, but naive and incongruent with reality.
