Part of me would like to see this go to court. It could be amusing for the Israeli government to demand equality while refusing it to others. I’d like to get their pro-equality statements on the legal record.

So, at best, we can expect Republicans to act with the same urgency and effectiveness that they showed when fighting AIDS in the 80s. Great.

I’ve always enjoyed how God is simultaneously portrayed as all-powerful and all-knowing, yet extremely fragile and petty. There’s the “wrong” kind of relationship, heavy metal, now fluoride, and the list goes on.

I haven’t noticed it lately, but I’ve experienced what you’re talking about. As far as I can tell, it ebbs and flows.

At this point, would we be comfortable with the influence of any group or individual with enough money, and desire, to buy EA?

This may be reading it the wrong way, but to me, it’s the right way. I am very glad to see the vast majority of news organizations stand together in giving Hegseth the finger. It’s refreshing that people can remember how to act like adults, put their partisan bickering aside, and recognize how vital free speech and freedom of the press are. It gives me hope for the future of my country.

This administration is such a nightmare that I NEED some good news.

Wait until he finds out how much the reception will cost.

WHY THE FUCK ARE PEOPLE STILL EXPECTING THIS GARBAGE TO WORK? Tesla’s “full self driving” crashes have been widely covered. Is it simple ignorance? Are they not aware of the news? Is it stubbornness? Laziness? Thinking that “it won’t happen to me”? Do they sincerely believe Musk’s lies?

I know that victim blaming isn’t the answer, and that’s not what I’m doing. I just want to know what’s going on in their heads.

A clever literal meme is funny. You’ve provided an excellent example.

They have their flaws, but I’ve always liked the Associated Press. I’m glad they’re not knuckling under.

I kinda feel sorry for managers at large retail chains, but I also kinda don’t. On one hand, they’re “in charge” of the store, but the big decisions (or small decisions, if they involve enough money) are made by corporate. Management makes the schedule, but corporate dictates how much of a “budget” they’re allowed for wages, supplies, etc. If they go over that budget too often, they’re fired.

I don’t feel sorry for the ones who are petty dictators. I also don’t feel sorry for the ones who are perfectly capable of working in another field, hate their job, but stick with retail anyway. Retail sucks. Making it a life choice is a terrible idea. If they’re smart enough to run a store, they should be smart enough to figure that out.

Congrats on spotting this! I bet most people mistake it for a pigeon.

I’m not asking about ridiculous matchups. For example, I mean ONE army with excellent swords but lousy armor.

I was expecting it to be just another post-apocalyptic drama, and I’ve seen so many mediocre ones that Station 11 wasn’t high on my list. I was very wrong.

Station 11 was well written, well cast, and interesting (if confusing at times).

Just about everyone looks better when they smile. It’s true regardless of gender. I don’t see where sexism enters the equation.

I feel pretty oblivious. What am I missing?

Ever have one of those close conversations with some, and walk away thinking “yeh… I’m a good guy” (or whatever pronoun you choose, of course). I just had that happen. It’s a nice, reassuring feeling.

Is it because of the instance they’re posting from, some kind of “award”, or what?
