They’re trying to solve one of the hardest problems in Computer Science: Naming things.
What do you call the framework, or design system—that thing that’s not quite a glossary of the terms—we’re going to use to describe the meta conversations around design?
“Design language” encompasses the colors, spacing, tokens, typography ramps, general rules, and all the other fiddly bits to unify on so that the more interesting parts of design and user experience can happen.
Naming things is hard :/
Yeah! It’s what makes being an adult great! I can choose to spend time with my friends.
Do you go to the movie theater by yourself?
The comment does not miss the point. You’re thinking from the perspective of a consumer, not a business.
Without Epic, World of Goo 2 would not exist.
If I was World of Goo’s developers, I would much rather have a job than not.
It’s just a tv show. I went to watch parties for Legend of Korra, anime, movies, and board game nights.
I’m not sure there’s much more to get
It’d be cool if CGPGrey remade his “What is Reddit” video, but exchanged it for: “What is Lemmy”
He unlisted that video, so I don’t think he has that popular of an opinion of Reddit these days.
Celebrities like him joining would be a big help.
I know “User Research” is a subset of design. But I think they hold the most important job of making sure the thing being built is actually what users want.
Y’know, it was way better than I thought it’d be. Tough, but I got a lot accomplished
As someone with an absurdly bad sense of direction, I would be unable to go anywhere without the GPS in my phone.
I just don’t get lost anymore. Ever.
I would absolutely panic if I was outside my house and didn’t have my phone.
If someone has truly changed their ways and reformed, I’d hope they could go on to start over.
It’s hard to judge someone else’s level of reformation though.
Every Konmari thing I do forevermore will start with me looking at chaos and remembering this comment.
Awesome, thanks! I added a post too to help contribute
