I’ve had a similar experience and tried to adjust my road related interactions with cars when walking or cycling not in an aggressive way but in a “I get to occupy space too” kind of way.

Just because it’s the “road” and you’re in a car and I’m not doesn’t mean that you’re royalty. Take your time, exist, make them wait.

“It's tempting to say we're stepping into a new world where all forms of media cannot be trusted,”…

Yes, we are and it’s shit for the human mind to have to constantly do a double take on everything to make sure it’s actually real.

“but in fact, we're being given further proof of what was always the case: Recorded media has no intrinsic truthfulness, and we've always judged the credibility of information from the reputation of the messenger.”

Sure subjectivity, biases, and other factors skew things, that’s a thing. But I’m sorry, “Any information humanity has ever preserved in any format is worthless.”, is quite the fucking claim.

I don’t know what’s sadder the giant Safeway sandwiches going from $9.99 to $13.99 or my mortgage about to go up like 200 goddamn dollars…

I guess we’re trying to make Vader look like King Kong and it mostly succeeds but it’s also verrah funny.

This apparently isn’t an issue that a lot of users run into at least according to the ranting I’ve done elsewhere on the internet. I’ll try explaining this as best as I can.

Skip down to the TL;DR if you’re good sans explaining.

In previous versions of Acrobat Pro (eg: 9) it was possible to set a filter for the comments in a document (eg: Status = None) and then as you are going through and marking the comments as "Completed" the list of comments would automatically hide the completed comments for you.

The current version (and last few versions) of Acrobat Pro (or DC as they call it now). Do not filter live as you change the status of a comment. You have to clear the filter and reapply it if you want to hide markup you’ve already dealt with.

This is extremely annoying when you’ve got hundreds of comments to go through. Once again I refuse to believe that I’m the only one in graphic design or desktop publishing who could benefit from having this feature.

TL;DR: Is there a good none-Adobe PDF reader/marker that will let me see comments and live filter them (hide them) based on a change in status from “None” to “Completed”.

Plus a free MP3?! WHOOOOOOA!

Did someone die? Is this all taking place inside a bottle of 7-Up? So many questions...

Screencap from SNL. Dennis Miller at the Weekend Update news desk, behind him a graphic reads "All Drug Olympics" the Olympic logo under it is made out of circular pills.

Just admit you’ve been watching old SNL clips on YouTube, Pete.

So for Canadian viewers. Does this mean the new shows will be on Netflix only? Or will the back catalog be on Netflix as well a la the previous US Peacock model? No more WWE Network?

I’ve tried looking this up a few different ways but I’m not sure if I’m phrasing it correctly enough for the search engine robots to understand.

Figured I’d try asking here. There’s a mod or two for GTAV and Minecraft that afflicts the player with random stuff happening at set time intervals (eg; raining chickens, randomize armor, remove inventory, teleport all mobs to player, etc).

A few of these mods have integration with Twitch where chat can vote on which effect to give to the player next.

I was trying to find a version of a mod like that but that allows another single person (another player, server op or just with a specific Twitch username or something) to be in charge of the random effects rather than chat.

Wondering if anyone knows of any mods that let you do that?

I mean either he's just the stupidest or this is all intentional and he wanted to kill Twitter in the first place. Either way, fudge him and his weird face.

Neocities (mentioned in the article) is a pretty cool throwback site for making your own simple webpages. I used it for a coding exercise to make my own personal version of a Linktree thing.

Bear blog (link) is also simple and neat for simple un-corporate internet-ing.
