This is a universe with faster than light travel and near infinite resources. There's a homeless shelter in one of the major cities. I helped them out. Why the fuck is there a homeless shelter in a universe with FTL and near infinite resources?

I'm starting to think Fallout under Bethesda isn't a satire and their writers are just incapable of imagining anything beyond capitalism.

Everyone knows no black people live in France and especially no black people speak French. Is a lie told by Big Woke.

I started playing this last night, and I'm trying to fly towards the green diamond thing, but I swear I'm not going anywhere. Is there a way to calculate the remaining distance to a location?

Remembering reading about it in a Game Fan magazine (the best gaming mag ever) and being blown away by the graphics. This was right before Shenmue came out and Sega was killing it pushing arcade hardware tech.

Fun fact, the guy who went on to create the Yakuza games was the director.

Device came with a 128GB SD card, but I filled it up with ROMs and ISOs in like a week. Just grabbed a 256 GB one - can I just copy the current ROM folder to the new card, and put it in with no issues? Or would I need to do something more to keep shit safe?

The sheer fucking hubris of it all. The unexamined and unjustified hype wave. The "influencers" peddling the damn thing with naked cynicism. The recycled maps that often just took the same assets and tilted them sideways. The laughably bad QA allowing almost anything to be put in the chat box.

The way it just... stopped being relevant.

That is all. lord-bezos-amused

So goofy. Just watching this clip I got a laugh out of beating up a goon with a vacuum cleaner. Diehard Arcade (the game set before this one) is a hoot too.

Whiny nerds who haven't read a new book in over two decades shed tears over the fact their boring-ass game sucks and is getting swirlied in the toilet bowl by actual cool games

Been keeping an eye on this for reasons. Not that I would EVER do something so ILLEGAL as to pirate a game 4 days early and then want to migrate the save to the official PC Game Pass version once it's actually available. I would never suggest anyone do anything so absolutely horrible to the really struggling indie game company Microsoft because that would be breaking the law, and of course nobody should EVER break the law.

But if anyone did that anyway and realized that they couldn't move their save between their completely unconscionable illegal copy of game to the legitimate version that they paid for but had to wait an additional 5 days to play because reasons, there's a utility to do it now.

https://github.com/HarukaMa/starfield-xgp-import/releases

I can't speak to the validity of it from a like, virus perspective, although the source is all right on github and it looked fine to me, but verify for yourself anyway. I can say that it seems to work though. I read one person say that they got banned from a different game years ago for editing their game pass save too so...yeah I dunno. I doubt that but, you know, don't blame me if things go wrong. I'm just the messenger. Maybe keep a backup or something so you can go back to your ... steam version ... later if Microsoft decides to be weirdos and ban people for importing saves like this.

Anyway have fun playing this weird ass game for those of you that are. For those of you that aren't, I hope you enjoy it in 10 years when it's been modded to high heaven and you can actually keep a consistent 60fps on your 8060 TI
