Bought a compressor this morning. Picked it up in my Falcon Ute no problem. Stuff doesn't quite fit as easily in a Jag though..... Lol.

This was on Thursday last week, dashcam GPS modules have obviously decided to give up cause they're just reading whatever they feel.

Did make a longer one for insurance with the preceding few minutes and the exchange of details etc, but it's all pretty boring. Old mate literally did ring 000 but I'm guessing they told him to stop being a silly sausage because he was pretty quiet after.

Not as exciting as DeoLioMouse, but it is in 1080p!

Driving home yesterday afternoon at about 2:25 down Double Jump Road ( a Redlands country type road ) doing 80 in the wet behind a small "box truck". Notice that the small hatchback in front of the truck is indicating right to pull into his drive.

I back off, box truck doesn't notice and is heading straight for small hatchback.

Box truck notices at last second, slams on the brakes, goes left, hits grass, tries to correct.....boom smacks into the power line sideways and ends up on his side down a three metre ditch.

Many helpers and he climbs out looking ok.

He's then talking to someone on the phone as I call the cops.

He seemed totally fine but it was quite a stack and I imagine after the adrenaline wore off he would be damn sore. Lots of other cars n utes pull up. I tell the cops I'm bailing as I'm in a precarious spot. One car came flying by at full speed.

Cops are supposed to be calling me back.

Well I'll remember that for a wee while.

The point of protesting in peak hour is to point out the disparity between how motorists are treated when one major route into the city is closed for an hour, versus how active transport users are treated."

She said the protest would not go ahead if the court ruled it to be illegal.

Heads up Brisbane- This Friday from 8am, all 6 lanes of the Story Bridge will be shut down for a planned protest. Cyclists, scooters & walkers want a lane of their own & are making their point in peak hour. [Olympia Kwitowski]

They all look a bit similar, but still, there's some pleasant pics there.

Brisbane West BUG

Do you support suggestions to install a temporary shared path on one of the 6 traffic lanes of the Story Bridge while Brisbane City Council pulls its finger out to address the problems it has known about for 5 years or more and failed to act?

We do. And next Friday May 30th there is a March across the Story Bridge to show it. And do you know what? Council is trying to take the organisers to court, because "people's right to freedom of movement would be excessively interfered with."

So while it's perfectly fine to close a bridge that thousands of people rely on for walking or riding across for months with no definitive timeframe for reopening, but occupying a lane for a march across the bridge "interferes with freedom of movement".

We think the ongoing interference with people's right to freedom of movement by not being able to walk or ride across the bridge is far more serious.

While that court action plays out, share this event with everyone you know.

This city is not the sole domain of cars. But, unbelievably, we need to fight for the right to walk.
