At the Munich Security Conference, the "shared values" so frequently invoked by Europeans were called into question by US Vice President JD Vance. So do the US and Europe still speak the same language?

Yeah I'd think Germany and allies have had enough experience with Nazis to not want to deal with the USA right now.

We see how Germany and allies handled Russia already...

US is a clown show but US grievances predate trump or maga.

How are they going to defend a remote island with 50 K population an ocean away from a hegemon, when europe can't handle Russian in its back yard in a weakened state.

What point are you trying to make here?

Are you saying that the US has a reasonable basis upon which to undermine diplomatic ties with Germany? If so, what is that basis and how does it outweigh the benefits of continued partnership?
