There are only 3 possible scenarios:

  1. impeachment and removal
  2. totalitarian dictatorship
  3. civil war

Jon Ossoff prefers #1

#1 is not an option while Repiblicans control the House and Democrats have less than 60 votes in the Senate. Impeachment will not move forward.

Even if it does, you still need 67 to convict and remove, but at this point, it can't even get to that vote.

Things are changing very fast. The economy is collapsing Voters are pissed off. Rich donors are pissed off. Just because an idea is short a few votes now, does not mean everything will be the same in 6, 12, or 18 months.

The most important thing is to try. One surefire way to guarantee an orange fascist dictatorship is to declare defeat before we even start. He would love nothing more than that.

The next election is 2026, every House seat and 33 Senate seats. That will put pressure on everyone to do something, but it's still 17 months away and we've seen what Trump has done in 3.
