Correct me if I'm wrong does California give more money to the federal government than it gets back?

Yes CA gives significantly more money then it receives to the federal government. Further more the state produces the most amount of agriculture for the rest of the country.

Of course California politicians are spineless neoliberal cowards who will fold to pressure without needing to, so none of that matters. This state is infuriating in both the common attitude and political reality.
