Democracy: most policies are extremely unpopular or at least controversial for most citizens
Evil communist dictatorship: most policies are approved or even voted by 90% of citizens
I particularly love when libs start completely unironically saying how the government is afraid of the public in China and that's why they're forced to keep improving living conditions. They don't understand that the fact that the government sees itself being accountable to the public is what makes it democratic. These people don't understand the fundamental premise of what democracy is, they just think of it as a purely procedural thing.
