Lol, wasn’t this the bathroom setup in the movie Parasite as well?
Yep, basement apartment and sewers high enough that it would otherwise require a pump when flushing.
That was the first thought that came to mind
Mobile reception must be good there.
It's one thing to find there's no loo-roll left, it's another to have to go downstairs to get a new one
Just one sheet left too!
Also, mount a TV on that wall!
I like the pull up bar above the toilet. Gotta get your workout where you can!
I mean, that's pretty dope. But I'm fully abled. Gotta suck for anybody who has limited mobility.
Parasite (2019)
DHWhy?
Looks like it’s a concrete floor and they didn’t want to cut it up to install a proper drain, so this was the solution they came up with.
As a former contractor, I’ve seen a lot worse ideas.
It's even possible this wasn't about cutting up the floor. If this is a basement apartment, that sink's drain might be the lowest point in the house that drains with gravity. If they wanted it any lower, it might've needed a pump, which is a lot of extra expense and annoyance.
The toilet has clearly been brought up level with where we would expect the sink's p-trap to be. It's clearly been raised enough to tie in.
Why is this place?
It's a basement apartment. They need the height to make the drainage work.
Source: I've lived in many shitty basement apartments.
Spot on, I'm a real estate agent and you wouldn't believe some of the things you see.
Good so when it over flows it can drain in the sink. Perfect.
It's already weird but why didn't they leave enough room for their feet? Do they straddle the toilet?
This looks like it had 80's shag carpet on the floor at some point in time, probably the 80's.
A nightmare for handicapped people.
the amount of leg room seems uncomfortable too
This must be where king of the skibidi toilets lies …

Posting guidelines.
Posts in this community must be of property (inside or out) listed for sale which contains a terrible element. “Terrible” can refer to:
-
the photo itself (finger over the lens, too far away, people in the shot, bad Photoshop, etc.)
-
the property (weird layout, questionable plumbing, unsound structure, etc.)
-
the interior (carpeted bathrooms, awful taste interiors, weird mannequins/taxidermies/art, inflatable pools indoors, etc.)
-
the actual listing itself including unusual descriptions and unrealistic pricing. However, this isn’t a community to discuss the housing market in general. This is a comedic community - let’s keep it light.
