Piracy Shield’s features and challenges: Piracy Shield works as an automatic platform that manages tickets submitted by rightsholders, and it sends blocking instructions to various online service providers. The source also discusses some of the concerns and limitations of the system, such as the lack of a whitelist, the difficulty of unblocking, and the secrecy of the source code.
Piracy Shield’s developer and status: Piracy Shield was developed by SP Tech, a brand protection and anti-piracy startup with strong connections in Italy. Such a shame nobody has created any Versatile Public Networking apps, allowing Italians to browse the internet and watch streams, while bypassing national limitations 🤷‍♂️
