Carpet cleaning has been done. Stinks like wet wool but at least it's much cleaner now.

Now to check that the drains in the courtyard are not blocked.

So you guys know those dark grey paving tiles they use in the city? You guys also know how they become slippier than a slip n slide when it rains? I've found something even worse... Some idiot decided to use those as the flooring in the shower at the hotel I'm staying at... πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

It's not that bad to start with, because feet (or at least mine) are generally grippy enough, but once you add a bit of conditioner, or hell, even just body wash, it basically becomes a how still can I stand? game. They Ldo only uses the absolute slightest angle to the drain, and used one of those teeny tiny drains at that, so it does pool unless you make an active effort to get water to flow to the other side and push it down the drain

My shower at home sucks too, but isn't quite that bad. It's got a steeper angle to a wider drain, and I have one of those shower heads you can grab off and move about, which makes it a lot easier to wash things down the drain. Even so, I have a non slip mat, and leave the door slightly ajar so I could catch myself on the towel rail if I slip. Here there's just about nothing. Couldn't even use the tap because it's kind of recessed into the wall

Glad I had the lie down/nap but still feeling kind of out of sorts. Like the precursor to a cold or something. Ugh, I hope not.

I have at least bought the s hooks on the way to my friend's place and hung up some pans just now, that's opened up a bit of space. Still not sure where to put certain pantry items so that I don't forget they exist. There's space I could use towards the back of the cupboards but then those items will be invisible. I'll need to create an inventory and put it on my fridge, I think. So many dals and lentils to use.

I love the Aldi ad with the gravy boat. Made me laugh.
