Imagine the hacker news userbase getting drowned out by redditors and bots on a massive scale never seen before. Anybody coming back to the site will scoff at the idea of yet another board wasted by enshitification.
impractical, yes. But the point still stands.
You can still have your comment censored/removed.
I don't see how this is any different from Reddit
