We maybe should downplay the 'no ads' thing. I can definitely see a day when ads are required to support some sites.
I like that we'll have a choice on that day, but I do see that day.
no, you can always make your own instance without ads, there will always be many without them
I agree. I think it’d be better to change that part to something like “your data not sold or tracked”.
I think trying to go down that road could be a bad path, because it definitely could be. In a lot of ways, Lemmy is kind of the opposite of all those privacy first deals.

But what about the extremism?
Extremism is what ppl say when it doesnt fit their worldview, its all relative, I think captalism the way we do it is extremism but thats seen as the normal ideology
