Are there any paper in the us that actually does journalism and not just print propaganda for capitalism?

everyone has an agenda. no one can cover every story. the subject itself is part of the agenda being pushed.

there are anticapitalist publications. you just have to understand the bias inherent in all your media choices.

Generally find PBS (News Hour) to be a good source overall. The Guardian’s coverage of the US is generally decent. Others include ProPublica, The Intercept and some of NPRs reporting (it’s gotten v corpo friendly but some good content remains). Al Jazeera can have good framing of what the US looks like from the outside.

Have taken issue with most of these on occasion and it’s difficult to keep up with each of their politics. Would love to see other suggestions.

There's People's World (successor to The Daily Worker). ProPublica isn't a newspaper, but does publish public-interest journalism. Democracy Now is a daily news cast you can usually hear on college radio in the USA (and on the Pacifica Radio Network).
