Boycott lag will last for decades. You gave a pretty good example. Replacement products from other sources if they are acceptable will gain more market share after the boycott ends. In some instances it can change for centuries (like coffee after the U.S independence).
Bourbon isn’t my thing, but I’m glad they’re criticizing Trump.
