I ended up blocking them both because lemmy.ml is full of tankies and lemmy.world is America centric despite the name.

[–] Sunshine@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 day ago

Good choice, I have done the same recently.

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

We have so many choices. This makes no sense to me.

[–] Sunshine@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago (2 children)

The is a what if scenario. No one should be stuck with 2 choices when more can be had.

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 1 day ago

Gotcha. Thanks!

But there are a lot more than two choices. If we went with instant runoff people would feel more comfortable voting for them.

[–] Sunshine@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

No, instant run-off reinforces the 2 party system even more so. You should support the single transferable vote instead as that is ranked and proportional.

great analogy lmao

[–] AlolanVulpix@lemmy.ca 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I'm out of the loop, can someone explain lol

[–] Sunshine@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It's just that Lemmy.ml and Lemmy.world are not everybody's cups of tea.

[–] AlolanVulpix@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Proportional representation is my cup of tea!

(sorry, but I had to!)

[–] Sunshine@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

Yup, the pr tea box has lots of great flavours ❤️

If you look reeealll close you can almost make it a tiny break in the clouds in .world... or maybe that's just bias. Who knows.

[–] Sunshine@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I really do prefer Sopuli.xyz tbh.

[–] jabathekek@sopuli.xyz 2 points 1 day ago

It does have the best logo.

I know that Lemmy has 600 instances, that’s missing the point of the meme.

lemmy.ca represent!

[–] JackGreenEarth@lemm.ee 0 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

But lemm.ee and many others exist... - such as lemmy.ca

[–] Sunshine@lemmy.ca 5 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (3 children)

It's an analogy that everyone would understand on Lemmy 😉

[–] JackGreenEarth@lemm.ee 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Apologies, I thought you were implying that lemmy.world and lemmy.ml were the only two options.

[–] Sunshine@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

All good, I really appreciate the hard work the smaller instance admins do!
