I'm an Mbin user testing linking to a Mastodon video toot in a Lemmy community. Move fast and break things?

If that doesn't work, here's the mp4: https://files.mastodon.online/media/_attachments/files/114/236/430/988/025/051/original/85aa99c8e91c1532.mp4

Hi and welcome ! Your link open to your mastodon toot. You can check its result here : https://jlai.lu/post/17126676

You may want to try out with PieFed as piefed.social :)

It doesn't embed on Piefed. At least it gets the video thumbnail. It's OK, Piefed. Your tile view still makes my Mbin magazine look cool.

Let's try the Lemmy ![](url "alttext") method!

Edit: added Lemmy-style alt text

Cool, feel free to use this community to test other things about the fediverse as text formatting, posting picture, book...this is the place for that. :)

Yeah i love the large tile mode for meme community and peertube video. Very beautiful community, i subcribed to it. :)

I'll wait until they work out the problem of it sometimes falling over.

David August the musician? Or just someone with the same name

[–] hitstun@fedia.io 1 points 3 months ago

Apparently David August the actor, but I can't tell for sure if it's him in the video. His Bluesky has this post too.

That a one month old post... What have I done with my feed settings??

[–] Snoopy@jlai.lu 1 points 2 months ago

Maybe it's related to language setting ?

Well, since you're here, I'll try embedding the update's original Mastodon toot and see where it works:

[–] pseudo@jlai.lu 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I don't see anything. Is it part of your comment or in a separated one?

[–] hitstun@fedia.io 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It seems my ![](https://mastodon.online/@davidaugust/114332848677419622) doesn't work anywhere. I can't just embed a toot. I know that Markdown works for MP4 files in some places, so here's that:

I love this XD
