The best option for a defensive firearms is a 5.56x45mm AR-15, and a reputable 9x19mm handgun.

Defensive firearms should have a WML, long guns a sling, and handguns require a Kydex or solid plastic holster that fully covers the trigger.

A red dot or etched optic is ideal, but backup irons are important as well! Be sure to check out r/TheArmedGayAgenda

Got my Glock 19 Gen5 MOS and Smith & Wesson M&P Sport III AR-15. Should I build up my kit in other areas now, or should I also get a 12 gauge shotgun?

Practice practice practice. And if you wanna get more gear I'd prioritize an IFAK and a plate carrier over a shotgun.

Practice and prepare your home, make sure its reasonably secure.

Whatever you do, please get a first aid kit and learn how to use it (and rotate the perishables!). I understand the point here is to defend yourself, but keeping yourself and others from losing their lives to injury is just as important.

Don't know much about guns, but is that a roll of PLA top left ? Do you print accessories or stands or something for your weapons?

not sure with an AR that a shotgun does you that much good; training should be the focus rather than kit

Training, naturally.

But also just as important (maybe more) find friends that you enjoy shooting with!
