I prefer memes that are not perfect. It gives them character.

/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!
Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'
~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.
Fun will now commence.

The default image editor in Linux Mint is trash lol
Out of curiosity, what is it?
It just says "Drawing" - simple drawing utility.
Like maybe I should have read a tutorial or something, but I just wanted to make a meme real quick. It did not work how I expected it to
I use Krita more than anything for image editing in Linux.
I do my memes in Inkscape. Should be rather easy to install on Mint.
That just sounds wrong. Probably not as bad as the people that say they use Blender for 2D things, but I still don't think Inkscape was made for doing that... Though at the end of the day, if it works for you, then more power to you!
Very well. For simple memes, just plop a textbox.
Though drawing bezier curve paths to create masks is a bit cursed.
I'll check it out. Thanks!
You could also try photopea. Its web based and free and has alignment similar to Photoshop
Mint is great, but the default aren't the best. At least, that's my experience with xcfe (the minimalist version of mint). That's on my server though, where I only need it to run some docker images and do some server stuff.
Anyways, everyone has their own preferred software stack. Why should an OS accomodatie everything and just leave you with a lot of unused tools?
