"Few creatures of the night have captured our imagination like vampires.
What explains our enduring fascination with vampires? Is it the overtones of sexual lust, power, control? Or is it a fascination with the immortality of the undead?"

Feel free to post any vampire-related content here. I'll be posting various vampire media I enjoy just as a way of kickstarting this community but don't let that stop you from posting something else. I just wanted a place to discuss vampire movies, books, games, etc.

I just learned about this book and the premise sounds so fun I immediately wanted to share. I like the idea of a vampire entering a long slumber and the world completely changing while he was sleeping. Plus vampires not being able to feed on zombies is just a great idea. Can't wait to pick it up. Have any of you read it?

Haven't read this but reminds me of something I read once.

The people who put out Archie comics also put out other comics about superheros and horror, etc. When I was a kid I came across one of those "digests" with a bunch of comic-strip short stories in non-Archie continuities. One story was about a vampire whose castle is about to be stormed by a mob of angry villagers, but luckily he's got a mad scientist who has just finished building him a time-travel machine. So the mad scientist and the vampire travel to the far future, thus escaping the angry villagers. They get to the future, and the vampire's like: thanks! and then kills the mad scientist by draining his blood. Then the vampire goes out to bite his next victim and... discovers that the victim's a robot! So he moves on to another victim and they're a robot too! Turns out the whole world is robots now so the vampire has no blood to drink, and he killed the mad scientist who was the only person who knew how to work the time-travel machine.

The end. Freaked me out, man.
