This is a community for discussion, news, and memes pertaining to the video game sub-genre "soulslike".
Given Lemmy's size, the definition of soulslike may be treated relatively loosely. While games like the numerous FromSoft titles, the recent Star Wars Jedi games, Lies of P, Nioh and similar games should be the focus, games that incorporate soulslike elements - like Hollow Knight and Blasphemous, for example - may also be discussed here.
Basic Lemmy-quette applies. Additionally, since flairs don't exist yet, please do make sure to include a marker to denote what game your post is about in square brackets for clarity's sake. An example could be:

Hey guys! As a little thank you to the community and in light of the current ongoing Steam Summer Sale, I would like to give a little back to the community: I'm giving away a number of soulslikes and soulslike-adjacent titles. I'm not made of money, so sadly, I can't give away the "best" titles there are (Edit: They're getting better by the hour now π), but there should be something interesting in the mix here. :D
I'm giving away copies of:
- Hollow Knight
- Blasphemous
- Nioh: Complete Edition
- Mortal Shell
- Thymesia
- The Surge 2
- Elden Ring (thanks to Demigodrick π)
Requirements:

Post a comment here. Ideally, you'll include which of these titles you already have, so you don't get a duplicate in case you are pulled as a winner.

You need to be from the EU. Because of regional pricing differences affecting which countries can be sent Steam gits to (needs to be within a 10% price difference between the two countries), I cannot send you a gift if the difference in pricing is too big. Gift cards would be a solution, but I don't have that much money :]

You need to be subscribed to the community at the time of entering the giveaway (no minimum amount of time being subscribed). You don't need to be a Lemmy.Zip user either. However, your account needs to have been created before 20th June 2025.

You need to have a Steam account (duh) and be fine with adding me on Steam, so I can gift the game to you. From my research, a 3-day period of us being friends is not required here since I'm not gifting a gift card but a game.
The giveaway will be open for ~~48 hours~~ how many hours it is until Friday (lol) from when the post is live on 30th June 2025 to 10 pm CET on ~~2nd~~ 4th July.
The giveaway will be handled by Zippy Bot ie. the winners will be pulled automatically. This means that at the end of the giveaway, I will lock the thread and Zippy will pull ~~six~~ seven random entries as winners. The ~~six~~ seven winners will be given the games from top to bottom in order of messages received.
Should the order I get you pulled as a winner coincide with a game you already own, we might be able to do some switcheroos with the other winners - we'll have to see when it's time.
This is the first time I'm doing a giveaway like this, so please don't rip my head off if something goes wrong - I'll do my best. :D
Ninja Edit: An informal request of mine would be that if you're pulled as a winner, that you consider making a post about the game you won. It can be your experience with the game, why you like it/don't like it etc. It helps contribute a little to the community and people would likely be interested in different perspectives outside my own lol. No pressure tho :]
Another edit: I've set the last day of entry to 4th July on Friday, so we can do manual edits and adjustments if something goes wrong

I have hollow knight, blasphemous, nioh and mortal shell. Love the first two, can't get into nioh or mortal shell somehow. Maybe I just didn't try hard enough?

It depends on what Steam storefront you're using. If it's the Ukrainian, it probably won't work because the Euro value in the EU storefront is a lot higher than the equivalent Ukrainian value. If you're using the European storefront, there should be no issue. However, should you get pulled, I should be able to find a key elsewhere or find a different solution - we'll figure something out. :)

Normally, that would disqualify you from the giveaway since it's a hard restriction I have set for the giveaway when creating it - wouldn't be able to make adjustments now without re-doing the giveaway.
