The blurb for the VIP section says:

The windows are slightly tinted to enhance your privacy and create a more intimate atmosphere for you and your party.

If I didn't know better, I'd say that they were inviting people to have sex as they go around.

You might also learn that ”sauna” is the only finnish word used commonly in english and in some other languages. Swedes though call it bastu, what a weirdos.

Espresso Macchiato for me please

[–] roofuskit@lemmy.world 52 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Not for me. The first requirement of every sauna should be the ability to leave immediately whenever you feel you need to.

[–] vodka@feddit.org 16 points 1 day ago

Doesn't really matter for this one, it barely gets warm.

[–] expatriado@lemmy.world 57 points 2 days ago (1 children)

always wondered how rotisserie chicken feel

[–] TheReanuKeeves@lemmy.world 16 points 1 day ago

If you're asking to be spitroasted you can probably find some people on craigslist

[–] bdjukemgood@lemmy.world 22 points 1 day ago

I’ve always wanted to be trapped in a sauna. Sounds lovely.

[–] derpgon@programming.dev 2 points 1 day ago

Someone saw the Finnish sauna girl reel/short as well I see lol

When it comes to weird finnish saunas, that's barely in the contest.

[–] ArmoredThirteen@lemmy.zip 5 points 1 day ago (3 children)

What are some of the others?

[–] Lorindol@sopuli.xyz 11 points 1 day ago (4 children)

There's one made of stone and a natural brook runs through the floor.

In the winter there are several saunas built from snow / ice. The snow sauna is said to be an especially pleasing experience.

There are sauna rafts that have engines, so you can cruise around the waters.

There are car trailer saunas that you can rent and drive to any open beach you wish. Or your own backyard.

And probably a whole lot crazier ones that I can't remember right now.

Around Seattle there are hot tub rafts. People motor around the Puget in them and definitely don't get hammered 😂

[–] AI_toothbrush@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

Ah we actually have the raft ones in sweden as well. Theyre pretty nice actually.

I went on one of those in Norway. We didn't have enough people to book the private bay tour so we were just at the dock. We jumped off the roof into the ocean. It was amazing. Highly recommend if you ever get a chance

During the wars saunas were also build in bunkers and dugouts in the front line. It was ordered from the top that every Finnish soldier goes to sauna once a week.

I would argue that a Ferris wheel is weirder than any of those lol. The raft is the only competitor.

[–] Lorindol@sopuli.xyz 2 points 1 day ago

I think there's also one on a ski lift gondola in Lapland...

[–] nailbar@sopuli.xyz 3 points 1 day ago

A relative of mine had a sauna installed into a bus, in which she travelled around the world.

[–] LovableSidekick@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

A sauna with completely clear windows - amazing!

[–] TheGiantKorean@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I saw it when we were there recently, but didn't ride it.

There are saunas everywhere there.

[–] Nighed@feddit.uk 7 points 1 day ago

I stopped at a service station in the middle of nowhere.... Had a sauna!

One of the museums I went to... Had a sauna!

Lots of sauna boats around, + this. Not sure how hot it can get given that I assume the doors open every time it goes round?

[–] datavoid@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Starting at only 240 euros per hour, what a deal!

[–] lerba@sopuli.xyz 2 points 1 day ago

That's for up to 4 persons

[–] NABDad@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

The bottom should go under an ice cold stream.

Is that where they hold ferris-chan
