I need to read this at a better time but I'm pretty sure ethical guidelines say it's wrong to stop people from playing Witcher 3

[–] Kenny2999@lemmy.world 5 points 6 days ago

Spoiler: there are two exceptions.

How did this get approved by the ethics board? Direct experimentation on unwitting human subjects without their informed consent?!

Yeah. Found the source. There's a lot of other Onion-esque satire science papers on it. Unfortunately, they also use AI images.

First of all, I love everything about this, including her works cited page where she includes her own paper dated in the future on why her boyfriend is "Proof of Freud's Darker Theories."

Second of all, climate change kind of ruined winter. Where I live, it's too icy to bike and too cold to go camping, but there also isn't consistent enough snow for skiing and snowmen. So winters for me and my partner have turned into hibernation mode with slow-cooked meals and long RPGs.

Was Chad, um, right all along? 😅

Studs work like a dream on ice.

As a compulsive player who recently got caught in the Fallout 76 hamster wheel, I find this too relatable, but also beautiful.

Easy. Just introduce them to a better game.

I’m sure it’s a great game with a catching story but my fucking god does everything else feel so janky that I just can’t get into it.

The story is fantastic. It's the moment to moment action that becomes tedious after the first hour, and the story requires at least 80 hours of that shit to see it through.

Meh. A story is never enough to get me to finish, but I'll put thousands of hours into KSP or Factorio. If I wanted to read a book, I'd read a book. AND I HAVEN'T READ A BOOK SINCE THE 90S. I typically spend all my time in game playing Gwent...
