A community for everything related to Palestine and the occupation currently underway by the occupying force known as Israel.

Anti-Zionism is not anti-Semitism. Existence is resistance for Palestinians.

Please refer to Israel as Occupied Palestine, or occupied territories. The IDF is a fascist and ethnonationalist occupying force. Israelis are settlers. We understand however that the imperial narrative (which tries to legitimise Israel) is internalised in the imperial core and slip-ups are naturally expected.

We always take the sides of Palestine and Palestinians and are unapologetic about it. Israel is an occupying power whose "defence force"'s (note the contradiction) sole purpose for existing is to push Palestinians out so they can resettle their rightful land. If you have anything positive to say about Israel we do not care.

I mean all this "two state solution" and recognition of a (highly conditional) Palestinian "State" is purely symbolic virtue signalling. What is left of these "Palestinian Territories" that could even constitute a state? Like a number of enclaves and gaza?

No. The only realistic solution is a one state solution. Right of return, equal rights, secularity; this is the bare minimum for a peaceful resolution. There is no need for the removal of all the current occupiers, I assume most would flee with their tails between their legs, much like in South Africa. Though unlike south Africa, genuine and tangible reparations should be a part of this as well. It's not as though pulling the knife out stops the bleeding. South Africa dismantled apartheid, but kept the established ruling class of white settlers.

Ideally, a socialist state would be best, but the above would be a bare minimum for any world leader genuinely seeking a long-lasting piece. Although obviously, most US-aligned governments are not in any genuine capacity seeking any such long lasting piece. They just want to virtue signal because supporting genocide is a PR disaster.

PNG is essentially not really a state but like 5 guys in port moresby under the control of Rio Tinto and Australia. The rest of the country lacks even basic infrastructure. The pacific islands can be like bought with a few millions $$$ and most colonial structures are still in place - tonga is majority mormon for example.

These are not real governments, some of these are hardly even real countries. Made up island statelets with a population of 50 somehow having a vote of equal strength to that of Brazil has always made the UN a ridiculous institution.
