Sit or lay down, breathe, observe the physical feelings in your body and thoughts in your mind without trying to distract yourself, pass judgment on them, stop them, or force anything. Just sit and observe. Deceptively difficult.

This is a good skill but very different to my understanding of dissociation. In dissociation you are unable to even observe your thoughts or feelings and your brain may not even make memories in this state. It's a pretty severe coping mechanism.

Oh absolutely, i didn't consider in the context of dissociation. That takes a lot of hard work to get through, lots of grounding work, practice observation and grounding in less severe emotional states, and work with a mental health professional.

Ketamine...the drug that causes dissociation...would help them not dissociate?
