President Donald Trump humiliated himself Monday at a summit of world leaders gathered to sign a peace agreement between Israel and Hamas.

In a room full of world leaders the U.S. president claimed that his opinion was the only one that mattered, while directly praising Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who has become something of a model leader for those on the contemporary right after he systematically weakened his country’s free press, replacing it with a state-controlled propaganda machine.

“You are fantastic, all right? I know a lot of people don’t agree with me, but I’m the only one that matters. You are fantastic,” Trump said. “He’s a great leader. I endorsed him in the last election he had, and he won by 28 points. You’re gonna do even better next time.”

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni had a pained expression as she stood behind the babbling U.S. president. She looked particularly horrified as Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said he’d nominate Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize, which the U.S. president lost last week.

In another cringeworthy moment, Trump turned his attention to Meloni to fawn over her appearance.

“We have a woman, a young woman, who’s uh—I’m not allowed to say it ’cause it’s usually the end of your political career if you say it. She’s a beautiful young woman. Now if you use the word ‘beautiful’ in the United States about a woman, that’s the end of your political career, but I’ll take my chances,” Trump said.

Fun facts about Shahbaz Sharif :

  • He's the younger brother of the 3 times Pakistani pm Nawaz Sharif. Once Nawaz constitutionally couldn't be the pm again, he gave it to his brother. (Not that the constitution holds any weight)

  • Was the chief minister of Punjab before that. The biggest province. You take Punjab, you have Pakistan.

  • He used to make the Punjab police fake encounters with gangs and kill political opposition.

  • In 2003, an anti-terrorism court summoned Shehbaz and five others accused in alleged extrajudicial killings in 1998. He was in the exile at that time and failed to show-up to the court. In 2004, Shehbaz attempted to return to Pakistan to appear before the court, but was forcibly deported back to Saudi Arabia.

  • Thoroughly corrupt people. Names in the panama papers.

  • Known to be an effective administrater atleast. Can get shit done quickly.

  • Shahbaz Sharif actually still has pieces of trumps shit stuck in his teeth after licking his ass as thoroughly as he did.

Pakistan is a fucked nation with a fucked political space. And yet I don't even like the bottom up system for Pakistan.

As an anarchist when i see the state of the tribal systems here I'm left hopeless for this nation.

At this point i have love for the land, history and culture. Not the people here.

I guess it makes sense why Trump likes him.

ALL political landscapes in the third world are the same. Its not just him or Pakistan.

He has the added complication of being in a spot where Pakistan is still a fairly important country in the world. Borders India, China, Afghanistan, Iran. Has had alliances with NATO, they used to take like 70% of their resources through Pakistan.

(Some containers would get stolen and the stuff sold, I bought some of it lol)

Also Pakistan is a nuclear power. Friends and double crossing everyone all the time. Great military and intelligence too.

Geographically blessed. Has massive potential for wealth creation.

Links to the Arab world with the defense deal with Saudi too. Take loans from them in return.
